Product features
Ease of processing for our end users is the top priority, as is quality and longevity. Therefore, most WallFace wall panels and decorative panels are generally equipped with a self-adhesive backing and are characterized by their easy processing. They are lightfast and permanent.
The material thicknesses specified for all wall panels refer to the thickness of the panel including the adhesive surface for self-adhesive panels. The specified relief height indicates the highest point of the decoration.
Most of our wall panels, wall coverings and decorative panels are self-adhesive. It means that the design plate is equipped with an adhesive on the back. We use high-quality acrylic adhesives for this. Self-adhesive panels are best suited for non-absorbent surfaces such as coated MDF chipboard, glass, metal, plastic, etc. Self-adhesive wall panels are not suitable for ceiling applications.
For a minimum order quantity of 10 panels, they are also available on request as non-self-adhesive or with a magnetic back. Please contact our customer service.
Because WallFace products are exported to over 70 countries worldwide and are therefore exposed to very different climatic conditions, we place the utmost importance on stringent material testing in the development of our products, right from the test phase up until the final inspection phase.
We simulate a wide range of climatic conditions, from high temperatures to high humidity, allowing us to optimise the production process accordingly. Only the highest quality stands the test of our strict regulations. The stated temperature resistance value is based on continuous use of both adhesive and non-adhesive panels.
Stress on WallFace wall panels and decorative panels in damp areas occurs when a wall panel is briefly exposed to moisture. This exposure to moisture can occur due to high humidity or direct splashing water.
Our products are generally not suitable for direct wet room areas, i.e. not for direct contact with water (such as in the shower and bath area). The wall panels from the Bath collection are an exception.

Some of our products are extra scratch-resistant. These products with marked abrasion resistance have an extremely scratch-resistant surface. You can see the degree of scratch resistance from the processing instructions.
In order to be able to offer the right product for every application, our quality control carries out appropriate tests during development, which contribute to the high quality of our products.

Basically, our wall panels and decorative panels are packed flat on pallets. In order to keep shipping for small deliveries as cheap as possible, we have developed a packaging box in which many of our design panels can also be transported rolled up.
Important: After receiving rolled wall panels, lay them flat at room temperature for approx. 24 hours and add additional weight if necessary.
Our surfaces are protected against damage by a protective film; this protective film should only be removed after processing. After removing the protective film, do not stick adhesive tapes such as Tesa, Scotch or similar onto the unprotected decorative surface!
The products from our standard range have flammability according to B2.
Our standard equipment is not always sufficient for your needs. That’s why some of our designs are also available on request with the special “flame retardant” option on other carrier materials. Please contact us if you would like to order flame retardant products.
